Sweetlegs: What’s the Hype All About?

If you’re one of my Canadian readers, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen or heard about Sweetlegs leggings at least once in the recent past. From the outside looking in it’s a little crazy, as loyal customers swear by these miraculous leggings. It leaves you wondering, what’s so special about Sweetlegs anyway? What’s the hype about?

Just a few months ago I had never touched or tried on a pair of these leggings. I was that oblivious outsider believing that my overly obsessed friends had all lost their minds. I was a firm believer that a) leggings aren’t pants and b) there was no way in hell you were going to get me into the bright and colourful patterns that my friends had been showing off.

Then it happened. A good friend was hosting a Sweetlegs party and I felt like I needed to be supportive. Just a few months earlier I had hosted a Thirty-One party and she had gone out of her way to help me get sales to boost my rewards. That’s what friends do right? So, I decided I would go, buy just one pair and see what the hype was all about. What did I have to lose?

I arrived at her house to find leggings EVERYWHERE! I mean there were what appeared to be hundreds of leggings in every colour and pattern imaginable spread out by size. A couple friends (who showed up already wearing Sweetlegs) quickly took me by the arms, whisking me over to the table containing my size so I could see all of my options. It was overwhelming, to say the least.

Quickly, I spotted a pair on the table that looked interesting, skulls made out of snowflakes… it would serve for Halloween AND Christmas, no? When I picked them up, however, I was a little shocked. There was NO WAY the tiny little-waisted pants I was holding were going to fit me! Putting my skepticism aside for a moment, I decided to trust the sign that said, ‘One Size: Fits sizes 6 to 14’ and try them on. Let me tell you, these things have some serious stretch! Even more impressive was how incredibly soft and comfortable they were when they were on. It was almost as if you weren’t wearing anything at all.

I gave in and brought them home, and now here I am – A self-proclaimed Sweetlegs addict!

For those that are still on the fence about whether or not these leggings are worth it, I encourage you to at least give them a try. Whether you’re simply looking for something to wear around the house or searching for something you can dress up and wear out in public, they’ve got you covered! All while ensuring that you are incredibly comfortable in the process. What could be better?

The patterns are always changing, making them fun to collect. The company creates and issues a new pattern, with a set number of the leggings created. When these run out, that’s all she wrote! So, if you see something you love then you need to act fast. However, if you do miss out on something don’t worry, there are great new options just around the corner.
