Autumn is officially here with its cooler temperatures, changing colours, sweaters, boots and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. Let’s celebrate the change of seasons in typical Alternatively Speaking style -with a tattoo round-up! Check out these 60+ autumn-inspired tattoos!

If you’ve been around my blog for any length of time, then you know that I LOVE a good tattoo round-up. If you’re new, let’s break it down. Approximately once a month, sometimes more often, I select a specific theme for a tattoo round-up. I then take to Instagram, browsing the incredible work of tattoo artists around the globe. After all, the platform has become an incredibly popular place for tattoo artists to share their flash sheets, behind the scenes images, unique drawings and finished pieces for the world to see. Selecting a handful (or more) of tattoos that fit the theme, I then bring them together here for all of you to see.
I am in no way claiming that any of these are my personal work. In fact, I make an effort to ensure that I am crediting the original artist with every piece shared. Each of these tattoos will be embedded directly from Instagram. This means you can click on any of the images and they will take you directly to that individual’s Instagram account. The only exception is the feature image itself, but there is full credit for that artist included under the image, so make sure to check it out!
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to or the means necessary to verify that every one of these pieces shared on Instagram is actually shared by the original artist. As I do believe SO strongly in the importance of credit going to the talented individuals behind the work, I am asking for your help. Monday, September 23 marked the official first day of fall and I, for one, couldn’t be more excited! This is the time of year when the temperatures drop enough to allow us to dig out our favourite scarves, sweaters and boots. We walk around with apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes in hand watching all the leaves change from their usual green to a wash of bold, beautiful colours including reds, oranges and yellows as we prepare for Halloween just around the corner. What’s not to love?
In fact, my love for the season means that today’s tattoo round-up is going to be a little longer than usual. Once I started sifting through the many autumn-inspired tattoos on Instagram, I couldn’t stop! It didn’t take long for me to select the usual 20-30 but there were too many great options to end there, so I kept going. The result? It’s so easy to get lost finding them all haha! I generally start searching a hashtag, but then from there I’m clicking through to different artists and their work, and the other artists that comment on their work, etc. It’s a black hole that could easily eat up a whole day if I let it lol
My sister just got a huge sugar skull with flowers around it on her thigh! It honestly came out so good! I love a good shaded tattoo but I don’t know if I would get one myself lol

Times have changed! People with tattoos if not the majority are close to it. I love fall and I fall into the no tattoos category. I never would’ve have linked the two. I love art though and they’re beautiful!
I think that’s the biggest shift of it all – tattoos are finally being seen as true art, which is what they are! The only difference is that some people wear the art they appreciate on their skin instead of on their walls.

These are fantastic! I’ve always wanted white ink snowflakes, but white ink is iffy. Fall leaves would be a great alternative!

Okay I love these tattoo idea. I have never thought of getting a Fall tattoo…and I love Fall. It has the best weather, hiking, colors,etc. There are so many cute ideas and I really want a new tattoo now! I really like the 9th one down. I am usually not into getting colored tattoos for myself but some of these are amazing!

All those tattoos are so pretty! Perfect for autumn as well. If I was to get a tattoo, I would have three small maple tree leaves in the wind. Just the contour lines. On my wrist.

I loved looking through these! I’ve been thinking a lot about tattoos lately – I’m really wanting another one! Coraline is my favourite film, so I really want a Coraline themed tattoo. I guess that could be classed as Halloween’y? As it’s a pretty creepy film!

Those are such beautiful and interesting tattoos, I love how some of them look like watercolor, sketch work, and cartoons. I probably would never get a tattoo because I am afraid of needles and I can’t of anything I want on my body permanently, but I love how tattooing is an art. My favorite thing about autumn is it’s less hot (which is great in a place like Florida) and pumpkin pie favored things 🙂
Surprisingly, I have a SERIOUS fear of needles lol! There is truly something different about it.
That being said, no one should get one unless they are prepared to have it forever.
