Over the past year and a half, Alternatively Speaking has been a place where we have shared and discussed many different topics ranging from pets to travel, workout plans to delicious recipes. Throughout all this one thing has remained constant – the focus on our 

love for ‘Alternative’ culture. This includes everything from bright rainbow hair colours to tattoos, ‘alternative’ style clothing to all things skull related.

For this reason, it just seems appropriate that I should bring a Christmas Gift Guide to all of you that has exactly that focus! The gifts listed here aren’t going to appeal to everyone, and that’s okay! This is our little corner of the internet where we can celebrate all the twisted and unique things we love so much. Each year Hallmark puts out a series of fun Christmas tree ornaments based on different movies. With everything from Harry Potter to the Disney Princesses, there is something for everyone. Among these are a series of Nightmare Before Christmas themed ornaments. This year I actually spoiled myself as the first ‘holiday purchase’ and picked up the Zero ornament as soon as I saw it. The perfect addition to our tree!

This is another item on this list that I don’t currently have but will make a point of picking up in the near future simply because I love them! The traditional ‘Christmas Ball’ is one that nearly everyone is sure to include when decorating their Christmas trees. The best thing I ever did in my house was to seek out black Christmas balls, which has made for a unique Christmas tree that generally results in a lot of comments.
