The autumn season brings Thanksgiving and Halloween vibes and celebrations, but there is another item that always makes its way onto my to-do list… Holiday cards! That’s right, I’m one of those people who still takes joy in sending out a nice card to all of my family and friends. Something that showcases our little family and looks all nice and put together!

I found my solution! Check out: Basic Invite

Created in 2006, Basic Invite is a stationery company that allows you to design the perfect holiday cards, invitations, business promotional materials and special announcements online.

While there are a number of different websites that claim to offer the same thing online, Basic Invite offers even more options for customization. Working with your colour scheme, the website offers 180 different colour options for your card and 40 different colours of envelopes. With such a huge variety of options, they are bound to have the perfect combination for your next party, celebration or event!

Don’t believe me? Check it out yourself! Unlike most other invitation and card websites, Basic Invite is confident that they can provide you with the perfect final product. They are so confident that they will allow you to order a printed sample of your project. This will allow you to not only see the design in person instead of on the computer screen, but it will also give you the opportunity to handle the final product, feeling the paper quality and seeing the size and proportion first hand.

I have friends located all around the world which means that I have to stay on top of things like holiday cards to allow for printing time and international shipping. That means you can’t procrastinate too long! With over 250 different Christmas and holiday card designs to choose from, there is something for everyone.

In browsing through the cards, there are so many fun and different styles to fit each and every personality. From more traditional and classic cards to the fun and quirky – there were so many options it was almost hard to choose!

One option that really caught my attention was their foil photo cards. The cards can be designed with gold, rose gold or silver foil accents to add that extra little *pop* to your holiday greetings. You have the ability to choose either flat or raised foil on any of the foil designs, adding even more options to make those cards your own!

    1. I didn’t do holiday cards for years but after the wedding I started to get into doing them with a select list of people, and I love hanging their cards up in my house as part of our holiday decorations.
