New Year's Eve, New Year's, new year, celebrations, 2017, 2018

It’s hard to believe that it’s already New Year’s Eve, but here we are! For some, tonight will be a day spent with close family and friends, others will be at an elaborate party or celebration toasting with champagne. The holiday plans here are far less elaborate. I am currently curled up in yoga pants and a hoodie on my couch watching Jumanji and later tonight we’ll bust out the booze and finger foods – with my husband and I celebrating together in the comfort of our own home.

Whatever your plans, I want to take this time to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year’s Eve!

Tomorrow we will embark on another new year, another chapter in this crazy story of our lives. This year, like many before it, has FLOWN past – try to remember to live in the moment. Don’t take anything for granted… It will be over before you know it! Live every moment to the fullest, take that crazy chance, chase your dreams and become the best version of yourself!

I want to give a HUGE shout out to everyone that I have met since starting my blog in Jan 2017. It’s hard to believe that it’s already almost been a full year of blogging here on Alternatively Speaking! In this time, I have published over 160 posts, discovered Twitter and the world of Twitter chats, completed Blogtober, created my own ’12 Days of Blogmas’ challenge which I completed with a number of other great bloggers, and, at the end of the day, discovered my voice here in the blogging world.

Thank you to everyone who has read my blog posts, commented/liked/shared them, followed my social media accounts, inspired me with their own incredible talent and built amazing friendships online (despite the incredible miles that distance so many of us).

Here’s to an amazing 2018!
