Falling for Fall Tag
You can’t deny, the beauty that is fall is here! I have decided to take part in Blogtober this year, and this tag seemed like a great way to kick it off!
As many of you who follow me on social media already know, I Iive for all things fall! There is no better time of year in my opinion! The beauty of the changing of leaves, Halloween, sweaters, scarves, Halloween, boots, warm drinks and don’t forget… Halloween!
This tag is brand new, created by the beautiful Megan Anne from Love Megan Anne. I have always loved her content as we share many things including our love for coffee (I say as I write this while sipping on my Starbucks caramel coffee that I just HAD TO have for my Keurig so I could enjoy it every morning). As a fellow lover of fall, she created this tag as a way to celebrate this time of year in the blogging world. You can read her post, the original post, here.
Without further adieu, here are the questions:
What is your favorite Fall scent?
I always waivered on what the answer to this would be because there is so much fall-related that I LOVE, but the recent candle I discovered and have burning has solidified an answer for this one! I am all about my new salted caramel candle – it smells SO delicious! I have already burned through one since I bought a couple and told my husband yesterday that I need to get more so I can keep them going through the season!
Do you prefer apple stuff or pumpkin stuff?
Unpopular opinion – I am not a fan of pumpkin stuff at all. I don’t like pumpkin flavoured foods, I will readily pass on pumpkin pie, and the idea of a pumpkin spice latte makes me gag. I know, bring out the torches and pitchforks! I do, however, LOVE apple pie so that makes this answer easy!
What is one thing that you look forward to every single Fall?
Halloween – I literally start planning out my decorations, costume, etc. in like January once Christmas passes and work to perfect my ideas throughout the year so that I can bring it all to life in October. It is, without a doubt, my favourite holiday and I start counting down to Halloween the day after Halloween! lol
How do you like to spend the more chilly/cloudy days in the Fall?
Curled up with a tea in yoga pants and a big comfy sweater in my backyard, seated among all the beautiful fall leaves, with a fire going in the firepit to give us warmth. I kinda plan on blogging this way quite often during all these Blogtober posts! I mean, why not???
Which do you prefer: Halloween or Thanksgiving?
Do I really have to answer this? Pretty sure I’ve already revealed that I am all about Halloween! There is no holiday in the year that I love more than Halloween! I mean, Christmas is up there, not gonna lie, but it just can’t take that number 1 spot… Halloween is everything I love and enjoy. In fact, I summed it up in my role as a guest writer for a ‘Lets Talk – Autumn’ post on Itsalllzara.
What is one way you do to embrace the Fall season?
The fall season is one in which I decorate in every way possible. Starting with basic fall decorations that transition into Thanksgiving, and then moving on to the best part of the holiday with my Halloween decorations. If you walk onto my property or into my house, there is no question that it is fall! I have also decided to continue that onto my blog and social media accounts with the fun fall version of my blog header! Embracing ALL the fall vibes!
What photos would you like to get this Fall season?
There are no prettier photos than the changing colours of the season. We are near one of the national parks here, and I would love to head out for a hiking day with the pups and get all the pictures that I can. I also want to get all the Halloween photos I can – local decorations and haunted houses, fun costumes and more. Expect my Instagram to blow up for all of you that follow me there (if not, you should)!
Favorite childhood memory from this season?
Trick or treating with my family. I grew up out in the middle of nowhere in the country where houses were too far apart to go walking house to house. Instead, my parents would get us all dressed up and we’d hop in the vehicle while they drove us around our area. Houses out our way (being so middle of nowhere) didn’t get many children, so they all knew and remembered the kids in the neighbourhood that came out each year. Each house you’d come into you were greeted with excitement as neighbours got all excited to see what we’d show up wearing each year.
What is your favorite trend (fashion/makeup/etc) so far this season?
I admit it, I don’t follow trends. I have no desire to try to stay up with the latest and greatest of everything and anything, it’s just not who I am. One trend that I will admit that I know and love is the ever-changing ‘popular colours’ for each season and I am seriously loving on the deep burgundy colour that keeps coming back year after year!
Describe what the Fall weather really looks like where you live.
We had a really out of character heat wave come through in Sept – I mean temperatures topping 100F with the humidity, which is really odd but it has now passed and we have settled into regular fall weather. It’s currently 65F with a nice breeze blowing through the yard. Fall here is nice and cool but doesn’t drop too cold. If I head back home then October brings snow, but not down where I am now in southern Ontario. Here it is the perfect boot, scarf and sweater weather!
I am excited to share this with other lovers of the season. The bloggers that I am nominating to complete the tag are:
- Vikki from Planet Vikki
- Hannah from A Tiny Girl’s Big World
- Sophie from Trafotoz
- Sarah Campbell from Book Hooked Nook
- Sarah from Mummy Cat Notes
- Natalie from Gorgeous and Geeky
- Meg from Mystic Mogwai
- Cassie from Zombie Goddess
- Meggan from Cardigan Jezebel
- Frankii from Quite Franklii
- Meghan-Alice from Not Quite Alice
- Robyn from Midnight and Lace
- Maria from Life with Maria
(13 seemed like the perfect number considering the Halloween connection, no?)
To make it a little easier to run with this, here are the questions on their own so that you can copy and paste them over to your own blog:
- What is your favorite Fall scent?
- Do you prefer apple stuff or pumpkin stuff?
- What is one thing that you look forward to every single Fall?
- How do you like to spend the more chilly/cloudy days in the Fall?

I can’t wait to see what each and every one of you answer, and learn a little bit more about you! I hope that you enjoy doing this tag as much as I do!
So, here’s to fall, and everything that it brings with it! Stay tuned the rest of the month of October for my daily Blogtober posts!
